17th Nash Hash 2013
Calling all interested bidders for the next UK Nash Hash 2013 !!!
If you are interested in hosting the next Nash Hash make sure you have your bid ready for the GM's meeting. This will take place at Nash Hash 2011 on Sunday afternoon (4.00pm).
Please contact Mr Beaky for further information.
Hash Heritage
There will be the opportunity to join and support the Hash House Heritage Foundation project in Malaya.
The two main objectives of the Foundation are to preserve the Hash Heritage and rebuild the Hash House. The original Hash House was demolished in the 1960s to make way for a freeway. Although the Foundation was established in 2000, it took until August 2005 before the Malaysian authorities accepted Hashing as a recreational sporting activity! (They must have missed the beer drinking part).
The Foundation was then granted a 99-year lease on a one acre plot of land whereupon to construct our Hash House as a centre for World Hashdom. The site is at a prime location set aside for sports-related activities on the North West of Kuala Lumpur. This is the largest green area at the foot of Kiara Hill, rising 1,000 feet amidst lush tropical forests and the adjoining park extends to 200 hectares – enough for hashers to get lost in!
The design will include a public HHH museum and a members area with a bar, showers and meeting rooms. It will offer a permanent home for Hash Genealogy and a Hash Library. Interested? See Penguin or Gates at UKNH.
Beer
The 2011 Nash Hash Beer Bitch has negotiated the following drink:
Real Ale - Ringwood Best, Itchen Godfather, Itchen Fagins
Lager – Fosters
Cider - Thatcher
Red & White Wine plus Softies (Orange/Sprite/Coke & Diet Coke)
We also have a special brew lined up, courtesy of local brewers "Itchen Valley Brewery" Please visit their site to show your support!.
Camping
There is one large field area available for camping and will be signposted to the right as you enter Bournemouth Sports grounds. Cars are allowed beside tents and camper vans/motor homes are also permitted in this area.
There is an area of hard standing suitable for caravans and camper vans to the left of the camping field, but no electric hook up points.
Please make sure your valuables are securely stored asthe the UK Nash Hash committee cannot be held responsible for any theft or losses.
No fires or BBQs anywhere on site please. Regular gas camping cookers are OK.
Dogs
Dogs are NOT permitted on the BSC grounds or in the Clubhouse.
Arrival by air
If you are travelling by air into Hurn (BOH) airport a minibus pick up can be arranged. It is only a three-minute drive from the venue.
